Accessioning Tech/Reports directly to the Accessioning Supervisor
Entry Level (non-supervisory)
Duties and Responsibilities listed below include but are not limited to:
Receive samples from Courier Service with documentation of receipt, open samples and check for accuracy.
Assign sequential accessioning numbers, maintain volume records for clinics.
Handle paperwork for samples received with incomplete paperwork and/or rejected samples.
Maintain current information for all clinics (both new and existing).
Provide customer service including inquiries regarding non-technical questions.
Ability to work with body fluids.
Good communication skills
Ability to work overtime when requested.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); some college preferred or equivalent work experience.
1 year working with experienced employees. Previous accessioning experience is preferred
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, occasionally sit, have good hand dexterity, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 25pounds
