The Account Coordinator assists his/her assigned Account Team by providing entry-level administrative, marketing and PR support of tactical account activities for multiple clients. This includes, but is not limited to, medial tracking, coordinating schedules, campaigns and mailings, research, proofreading, client presentations and reports, and client support.

Key Responsibilities

Client relations
  • Support the Senior Account Manager and Account Director to help build and strengthen client’s brand identities and market presence
  • Work closely with Account Team to assure high quality and responsive service to clients
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with Senior Account Manager and Account Director on client and team issues
  • Gain knowledge of clients’ industries; review periodicals, industry newsletters, etc.
  • Participate in client brainstorming sessions and provide ideas
  • Attend industry events, meetings, conferences and training as appropriate
  • Conduct basic online research for client projects as assigned
  • Proofread and edit client documents
  • Meet multiple and concurrent deadlines; must be able to prioritize and work efficiently
  • Record time worked on a daily basis
  • Other tasks as needed for successful project completion
Marketing
  • Assist Account Team in executing image and branding tactics
  • Help manage communications campaigns
  • Work alongside Account Director and Senior Account Manager to ensure clients reach their target audiences and stand out from competitors
Media relations
  • Assist with the planning, implementation and tracking of traditional and social media activities for Dodge clients
  • Stay abreast of social media tools, platforms and trends, and provide recommendations to improve social media campaigns
  • Write, edit and distribute a wide variety of PR materials, including press releases, media alerts, calendar listings and pitch letters
Requirements
  • 1 - 3 years experience in a PR agency
  • Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Ability to quickly grasp healthcare and technology messages
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of current social media platforms
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing personality; ability to effectively interact with team members
  • Highly motivated, highly organized
  • Proactive attitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally
