Essential Duties and R esponsibilities:
Project Account Management
Develops and executes marketing and PR strategies to help clients strengthen their brand identities and market presence
Directs activities of account team to insure high quality and responsive service to clients
Meets multiple schedule deadlines, individually and as an account team
Obtains approval for billing to clients prior to initiating work
Proofreads and edits staff documents to clients as necessary
Interacts with C-level executives effectively and professionally, provides insight that displays a strong understanding of the PR/marketing craft, as well as client markets, business verticals and operations
Displays solid understanding of the agency business in general and demonstrates specific strengths in how Dodge seeks to be represented in the industry
Managing to agency quality of work while achieving financial objectives
Develops image and branding strategies
Manages communications campaigns
Helps clients reach their target audiences to stand out from the competition
Oversees team’s proficiency in understanding social media to include traditional, online and social networking
Drive proactive, competitive and social media PR campaigns and respond rapidly to dynamic marketing events
Maintains a relationship with online and print publication editors to facilitate advantageous placement of articles and releases for agency clients
Initiates strategic media relations activities such as planning, pitching and press release development
Identifies and facilitates editorial and speaking opportunities
Seeks out new business opportunities with new and existing clients, and takes a lead role in their development
Keeps apprised of relevant client, industry and market developments
Represents agency at industry functions
Demonstrates the ability to be a leader for the team in pitching meetings and providing insight during an RFP response
Provides ongoing coaching and development tools for staff
Provides measurable objectives and goals to staff
Leads by example which includes effective delegation to staff
Additional Duties And Responsibilities
Accomplishes all tasks as requested and as appropriate
5-10 years of experience in a business-to-business PR agency with extensive experience understanding healthcare and technology messaging. Must be very detailed oriented and a great communicator. Solid understanding of media relations and social networking. Ability to lead a team in a high-energy environment and to meet our clients’ expectations. Excellent written and organizational skills are a must.
Experience, Education and Licensure
A bachelor's degree in a PR related discipline.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to proscribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
