Under the direction of the Vice President, Distribution, the Account Executive, Distribution is responsible for increasing distribution of Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Channel HD, Hallmark Movie Channel, Hallmark Movie Channel HD and TVE integration and syndications within an assigned territory. The position will also manage local advertising partnerships and Multichannel Video Programming Distributor (MVPD) account activities in the assigned territory.
-Develop and implement effective strategies to increase distribution and subscriber revenues
-Effectively deliver product position proposals and presentations to affiliates
-Build and develop enduring relationships with affiliates at all levels including but not limited to local ad sales, government affairs, etc. in order to provide excellent customer service
-Effectively sells-in and manage promotional campaigns throughout the year
-Participates in industry trade shows.
-Oversees and maintains an accurate, up-to-date prospect and current affiliate database list.
-Maintains knowledge on industry trends through affiliate communications, review of trade journals and publications.
-Completes projects in an efficient and timely basis.
-Any other projects or tasks as assigned.
-Bachelor’s degree is required
-Must have minimum 3 years of sales experience
-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook experience
-Must be available to travel a minimum of 50% of the time
-Proven track record of successfully meeting sales objectives
-Previous experience in a sales focused environment
-PC Proficiency using Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
-Start-up experience a plus
-Demonstrated knowledge of sales cycle/process and account management
-Manage an efficient and heavy travel schedule (approximately 50% of the time including nights and weekends)
-Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
-Dynamic presenter that displays excellent written and verbal communication skills
