The Account Executive is responsible for enrolling new Medicare members through group and in-home sales presentations. Must maintain effective business relationships with agencies and organizations focused on the Medicare population in assigned territory. Will be responsible for prospecting, sales, servicing, retention and penetration within assigned territory. In addition, the Account Executive must have the ability to work independently on a daily basis and effectively manage their time and territory to insure that all sales and service standards are maintained.
Associates degree preferred. NYS Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required or secured within 90 days of employment.
Minimum 2 years direct business-to-business sales experience or at least 1 year health insurance sales experience required.
Experience working with Medicare population preferred.
Group or Medicare health insurance sales experience with managed care or indemnity products preferred.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and place cold calls to prospects required.
Ability to lift 20 pounds of collateral material.
Working knowledge of computers. Database management preferred.
Must have access to reliable transportation. If driving vehicle for CDPHP business, employee must have valid driver’s license, current inspection and appropriate insurance coverage in effect at all times.
Salary Grade: 15
