This position is responsible for cross-selling products and retaining Major Accounts (500+) business. Effectively manages relationships with assigned customers, brokers and/or consultants with demonstrated strategic leadership skills. Works together with the Client Consultant to identify trends, review strategy and execute specific recommendations based upon industry knowledge and BCBSNE objectives. Formulates and implements a business plan for each group which incorporates customer specific objectives and aligns with corporate strategies and initiatives. This position will be directly accountable for retention, strategy and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for retaining current BCBSNE customer base and identifying and executing on growth strategies.
Collaborate with peers across BCBSNE on a regular basis to establish best practices, consistency where appropriate, and accomplishment of overall business goals and objectives.
Direct strategic, client specific initiatives which deliver ‘value add’ services through the execution of client business plans.
Helps clients understand and solve their unique business challenges.
Seeks to understand key elements of a client’s business environment and provides feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients.
Must meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
Must work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

Industry Knowledge and Financial Acumen : Must have the ability to review, understand and articulate financial reports.
Professional Accountability : Must take responsibility for self and interact with honesty and integrity in all business interactions with internal and external customers while maintaining high quality work standards. Must dress appropriately and represent self and BCBSNE with excellence.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Other Advanced Education:
Current State of Nebraska Department of Insurance license in life and health, or willing to obtain within 12 months of hire date.
Five (5) to eight (8) years work experience in sales, sales management, client management and/or strategy development.
