Job Summary:

Blue Box is looking for a tech-savvy sales person with a talent for customer development who is excited about playing a pivotal role in the growth and success of our organization. We are looking for an Account Executive who will be responsible for developing sales from our existing Blue Box customers and generate new leads and opportunities through developing relationships with clients across their markets.

Responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility is identifying, qualifying, and closing business that is driven from our existing customer accounts
• Understand each account ’s key decision makers and players and leverage those relationships to grow the account footprint
• Work along side Technical Account Managers to develop and support existing accounts
• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
• Responsible for the full sales cycle from lead development to successful close
• Work directly with the Director of Sales to identify and prioritize opportunities and to negotiate strategic key relationships
• Participation in brand awareness building activities, including industry trade shows and community development efforts (developer groups, start up accelerators, start up communities)
• Maintain a clear understanding of how existing customers are using Blue Box solutions
• Work well with the sales team and solution engineers to design solutions accurately
• Must a bring a high energy level and a positive attitude every day

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• 5+ years of direct sales experience, preferably with a cloud or managed hosting background
• Familiarity with how to strategically plan for account penetration and development
• A track record demonstrating success in completing the sales process from cold call to close
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment —moving quickly, thinking strategically, and using tactical execution
• Bachelor ’s degree in business or marketing preferred
• Experience of strategic selling at Executive and Board level
• Sales experience in a technology related industry
• B2B Sales experience
• Understanding of professional sales training and sales process
• Superior follow up skills with the ability to respond under pressure
• Ability to work to a monthly target
• Effectively communicate over the phone, through email and face-to-face
• Superior negotiation skills
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Goal oriented with superior work ethic
• Proven territory / vertical market sales development skills
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to generate and qualify excellent customer leads
• Up to 50 % travel
