Objective: To produce new business and assist in ongoing service to clients.
Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with individuals and agency objectives.
Qualify and handle leads generated by the Company.
Generate own leads through cold calling and networking.
Cross-sell lines of business for all of the agency’s profit centers.
Collaborate on preparation of marketing submissions for new business.
Collaborate with Account Manager to design and maintain appropriate insurance programs for existing accounts.
Maintain production reports and attend sales meetings as required.
Participate in agency sales contest.
Assume ultimate responsibility for retaining existing accounts. entertainment, and collections.
Maintain data relevant to prospect file and update prospect database.
Actively promote agency goals and objectives in the insurance industry and in the community.
Pursue a program for personal and professional development.
Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Excellent marketing skills.
High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
Attend agent conventions and other industry meetings, if so instructed.
Hold valid Michigan Property and Casualty License or willing to sit for exam shortly after hire and meet requirements for bonding.
Be able to work extensive hours beyond the normally scheduled work day.
Successful sales record either in insurance industry or other industry helpful.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
