The primary responsibilities of the Account Executive include service area and relationship development with (new/existing) corporations, service sectors (police and fire), colleges/universities and the community (faith-based, schools, other community based organizations and coalitions) to increase the size and diversity of the national registry. Coordinates stem cell donor Recruitment activities, Fundraising activities and Volunteer service. Achieves monthly and annual Recruitment and Fundraising goals within service area. Performs all duties in alignment with NMDP policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. On evaluation, three years of experience related to the minimum experience requirement may be substituted for the degree.
Two years of experience in outside sales, business or community development, client account management or directly related blood donor recruitment experience where defined goals or metrics are required. Fundraising experience strongly preferred.
Sales and Marketing knowledge; Knowledge of Fundraising strategies and lead generation ability.
Experience in networking and community outreach including the use of social media methods and tools with a variety of racially and ethnically diverse communities; Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence others; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Public speaking and presentation skills; Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects; Self-motivated and goal driven; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and calendaring applications, and the Internet. Bi-lingual language skills may be necessary depending on location of position
Must have a desire to learn and be willing to travel within region as needed (25%-50%), work evening/weekends. Occasional national travel, 1-2 trips per year. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
