DESCRIPTION

Mitchell Communications Group is adding a new Account Manager to join our team located in Fayetteville, AR. This position will be part of our Consumer Communications team which supports the agency by understanding how consumers interact with brands as well as the channels and messages that move them to engagement through strategic thinking and results-oriented program development.

DUTIES

Identifying, developing and leading execution and measurement for proactive and reactive communications campaigns, as well as conducting media relations for our clients
Leading client interaction and will developing strategic communications solutions, incorporating internal shared services including research, creative and content development, digital and social, training and media and eclient services
Providing business counsel to clients incorporating communications strategies and tactics
Preparing communications plans and proposals
Responding to and anticipating client needs and providing on-site support
Planning and developing communications campaigns and presenting public relations plans to client groups
Overseeing work flow for consumer campaigns and scope management
Managing and working with other members of the client services and shared services teams
Coordinating media responses and appropriately handling incoming media inquiries
Understanding and working with various target audience groups, implementing communication activities to effectively reach these groups
Writing and editing communications materials following AP style rules and other journalistic preferences, creating compelling story angles and message points
Overseeing other writers on the project team as needed
Planning and implementing special events

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferred areas: communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of communications or related experience.
Agency experience in the field of marketing or communications client service, internal communications, travel and tourism and/or community relations is preferred. Experience providing on-site client support is also a benefit.
Familiarity with processes relating to shared service integration and agency traffic procedures.
Solid presentation and public speaking skills.
Experience working in a retail setting or servicing Fortune 100 clients.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including knowledge of AP style and journalistic preferences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
