Role Summary:
The Account Manager, Marketing & Creative (UPL) provides support to two Directors, handling Domestic and International Account Management, respectively. This group is responsible for building, developing and executing strategic partnerships between corporate businesses and the Motion Picture Group. The focus of this position is to assist in the development and management of all domestic, global, regional and local partner marketing/creative campaigns. This position reports to two Directors of Marketing & Creative, Universal Partnerships & Licensing.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Under the guidance of two directors, manage creative development and execution of co-branded advertising campaigns supporting theatrical releases; includes television, print, radio, and online media; in-store point-of-sale materials, packaging, premiums, online, and mobile content for both domestic and international campaigns, as assigned.
  • Liaise with outside creative vendors for special print jobs, PSA’s, TV spots, etc.
  • Oversee approval process internally (marketing execs, brand managers, regional offices, legal) and externally (brands and agencies).
  • Serve as secondary day-to-day contact with promotional partners, advertising agencies, internal and external executives
  • Coordinate PR & Events - partner-sponsored special events, global partner summits, trade shows, press releases, etc.
  • Manage creative asset distribution internally and externally and assist with departmental creative needs
  • Oversee national screening programs and sweepstakes (rules & regulations, fulfillment, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining account management grids, status reports, email communication to internal and external clients
  • Responsible for preparing program recap presentations, filmmaker presentations
  • Conduct competitive research

    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in strategic marketing, brand management, promotions, or consumer marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop clear and consistent messages across many different stakeholders
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office, Powerpoint and Photoshop

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • Must be able and willing to travel 25% of the time, both domestically and international.
  • Motion studio experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working across many different countries and territories strongly preferred
  • Strong influencing skills strongly desired

    Desired Characteristics
  • Entertainment experience strongly preferred
  • Adobe Illustrator skills a plus
  • Experience working with filmmakers, talent and/or creatives strongly preferred
  • Creative & strategic thinker, resourceful, self-motivated
  • Possess strong initiative/follow-through and able to anticipate the needs of the Account Management Team; adept at multi-tasking and prioritization
  • This person must also be flexible, entrepreneurial, resourceful, professional, and yet a team player.
  • Ability to manage upwards to multiple supervisory inputs and be capable of working as a member of a team as well as independently
