Purpose: Directs the sale of Suttle's products into Verizon and works closely with the channel required to support the named account. Assists Sales Management in development of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.Major Tasks, Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Create an organizational behavior focused on defining customer needs, strategic direction and communicating that to Business Unit Managers to define market opportunities and product requirements.Develop and drive business plan for Verizon and distribution channel into the account.Create product specifications at Verizon to drive product demand.Manage and lead Verizon working closely with key Headquarters, Standardization, Procurement, and Field Personnel to meet their needs and provide accelerated sales growth.Have a strong working knowledge of the Access and CPE areas in Verizon's network.Collaborate with Product Management and Product Development teams focused on selling the total value solution to maximize gross margin.Generate quotes and build maintain strong business relationships and manage customer expectations.Communicate product standards and provide training to local engineering, operations, constructions offices at Verizon locations.Prepare sales forecasts and activity reports and communicates them to management on a timely basis.Participate in the recruitment, selection and training of potential sales reps and rep firms.Assist team in completing qualification of Verizon and communicate feedback to the Business Unit Managers.Assist team in quote generation, maintaining and growing business relationships.Develop strategies for establishing channel partnerships and business terms and policies to market Suttle's products to include establishment of quotas and goals.Work closely with Business Unit Managers on Request for Proposal (RFP) to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues and competitive pressure.Assist team in making presentations to various groups in identified accounts including negotiation and closing of sales.Attend industry conference and trade shows as they apply to doing business with Verizon.Performs other duties as assigned by managementNature Scope: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Strong communications skillsGood analytical and problem solving skills.Demonstrated history of success with customer relations.Strong ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere.Fluent oral and written English communication skills.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree or 5 years sales experiencePossess solid business relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at Verizon that touch the Access and CPE portions of their network.Have solid experience and background in working with Verizon.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.Ability and willingness to travel (50% travel)Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a variety of Service Providers outside of VerizonExperience with Service Provider distribution
