Dow Oil and Gas, a global market facing business unit of The Dow Chemical Company and its consolidated subsidiaries, has an exciting opportunity in our Houston Dow Center Office for an Account Manager in our Gas Transmission Segment.
Dow Oil and Gas is a comprehensive chemistry solutions provider to the Oil and Gas industry maximizing value for our customers by offering innovative customized solutions tailored to the ever evolving needs of the oil and gas industry. Our business serves seven market segments in the industry including Exploration, Production, Enhanced Oil Recovery, Oil & Gas Transmission, Refining, Gas Processing, and Power. The five distinct regions served by our business include North America, Europe, Latin America, Middle East/Africa, and Asia/Pacific
Lead sales efforts for the Dow Oil & Gas Transmission business in a territory within the United States
Develop and execute on account plans for key accounts
Support existing business at core accounts and identify new customer opportunities in the oil and gas industry
Understand key markets and applications in the oil and gas industry
Develop new and existing business through technical, product and application knowledge. Identify opportunities and convert them into sales.
Develop in-depth product and application knowledge about the business and product lines – understand technical analysis for customer reviews
Work closely with Tech-Service Engineers to develop opportunities in region
Manage all customer interactions to ensure that all customer needs are met through direct contact with customers, Channel Partners and Tech-Service Engineers
Develop sales proposals for new and existing customers
Provide Marketing function with competitive and business intelligence to provide support for business initiatives and strategy
Maintain and build strong relationships at all levels with customers and channel partners
Effectively use tools to manage and build customer relationships - entertainment, business calls, tech service support, conferences, etc.
Track regional performance using available sales tools
Manage sales terms and credit with assigned customers. Requires cross functional effectiveness
Maintain all pricing tools – price card reviews and implementation, supports, rebates and contracts
Cooperate with all functions to service the customer – operations, customer service, etc.
Coordinate trade show and events for product promotion
Manage team meetings of resellers and distributors
Travel for this position will be approx. 60%
Preferred location is Houston, TX
Bachelors Degree is required
Engineering Degree is preferred
At least 2 years of Sales experience is required
Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred
A minimum requirement for this U.S. - based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident or qualifying Asylee / Refugee).
