Summary : Position manages relationships and customer service for accounts at the plant level including inside and outside sales. The incumbent will work with customers and plant personnel to establish production expectations. The Account Manager will work to cultivate new business opportunities, expand customer base and explore new markets. The Account Manager adds value to the plant by serving as the focal point for the cultivation, retention and expansion of business opportunities with customers.

Requirements (Qualifications & Skills):
Education – College Degree Preferred. Experience necessary – 3 to 5 years in sales, customer service or related field. Language Skills - Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Physical Demands – Must be able to sit for prolonged periods. Travel to and from Customers is a necessity. Ability to function in an industrial and office setting. Work Environment – Ordinarily an office environment however there are periods of time where individual may have to spend time in heat, noise, cold, etc., of industrial shop. Other: Must be able to travel extensively, up to 50% of scheduled work hours. Overnight travel is not routine, but is expected when necessary. Ability to quote pricing, manage expectations for process and delivery. Exercise tact and ability to partner with customer to resolve issues. Communication skills with employees at all levels to achieve goal of exceptional customer service. Special Skills:
Must possess or be able to develop a working knowledge of Company Quality system, procedures, project tracking, TS 16949, AMS and Mil Specs, process capabilities, competition capabilities, competition costing, general braze and heat treat processes, utilization, ESA/VSE procedures, proper planning practices, equipment capabilities. Must possess or acquire a working knowledge of heat treatment. Must possess or be able to develop a working knowledge of the Bodycote Quality Manual and Bodycote Policy Manual. Must be able to effectively cultivate and develop customers from diverse backgrounds including small entrepreneurial businesses to large multinational corporations. Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):
Receiving and responding to phone inquires from customers and potential customers Sales calls on current and potential customers Customer feedback interviews / surveys Developing relationships with current / potential customers Customer Service Inquires Partnering with employees at the plant level to monitor progress of work to meet customer expectations Project Management Clarification of customer requirements Performs other tasks as assigned
