The Position

As an Account Manager, you will play an invaluable role in creating and maintaining client satisfaction. You will act as the client’s voice within the company and the voice of the company to the client. As such, both the Account Manager and the rest of the Account Management team play a critical role in terms of client communication and also editorial quality control, and are extremely important to, and visible within, the company. As a result of continuing growth, we seek a candidate that can adapt quickly and grow into roles of increased responsibility. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Product Management.

What is a typical day like? It depends on the day. You may be talking to clients about improving our service. Or you could be resolving client issues quickly and under a tight deadline. You could also be working closely with editorial, technical and sales departments to resolve client issues and enhance our products and service.

Essential Functions:
  • Building client relationships to anticipate client needs
  • Desire to work hard and learn new things each day.
  • Ability to think on your feet and stay above stressful situations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and pitch in when needed.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a service mentality and really “get” the news, matched with demonstrated intelligence, unfailing attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required.
