Manages contractor, customer, and other trade ally relationships. Presents program goals and opportunities, develops/facilitates/nurtures business relationships, and explains technical/operational issues to customers, participating contractors, and program partners. Develops industry and client relationships in assigned territory.
Increases program participation by performing outreach activities to identify, develop and train HVAC contractors as program partners.
Stays current on latest program initiatives, policies, procedures, etc. and proposes ideas for new initiatives or improvements in current program offerings. Develops advanced technical knowledge in energy efficiency and HVAC quality installations and trains other staff members.
Ensures Program Partners are aware of all current program guidelines, incentives and requirements and are properly equipped and trained to participate in the program. Provides contractor training, in classroom or one-on-one as needed. Develop training materials for new program offerings.
Makes public presentations at industry/trade conferences and promotes program and CSG. Recognized as industry expert .
7-10 years experience managing HVAC projects including experience sizing heating and cooling systems, system installation, troubleshooting and duct design; or 3-4 years administering energy conservation marketing programs.
Strong client relationship management skills and enthusiasm for energy conservation. Ability to effectively communicate technical and program concepts to contractors, consumers, and other interested parties. Excellent people skills, very good training, presentation and writing skills. Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Proven ability to learn and process technical information from many different sources— new products, services and measures are regularly introduced into the program.
EPA Section 608 Type II certification to handle refrigerant, or other HVAC experience is desirable;
Daily travel required. Must have access to reliable transportation;
Ability to communicate technical information to builders, contractors and customers;
Computer proficiency. (Experience with Windows based computers is critical, and familiarity with Manual J is a strong plus.
Completion of satisfactory background check.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
