Key Responsibilities
• Promote Cummins value package to end users within defined geographic area
• Sell Cummins engines as a preference directly to the end user, leverage customer preference to pull sales through/with OEM dealers
o Assist end users with engine/equipment specifications
• Develop new direct sales opportunities with end users for growth of allied parts business. Identify new accounts using company provided data resources
• Support strategies that promote allied product sales within specific markets
o Mid-sized accounts
o Municipal
o Refuse
o Vocational
• Execute plan to grow branch service business at end users
• Maintain networking and working relationships with current customer base
• Communicate and support branch specific published sales specials and programs
Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities by Dimension:
Functional/Technical
Functional/Technical Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years experience selling in greater Chicago market
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Established background supporting, selling, and maintaining business in the local market
• Excellent customer facing support skills that exemplify NPower CSE philosophy and standards
• Strong aptitude toward diesel engines and knowledge of Cummins products
• Travel required – Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to use computers, experience with MS office tools such as Word and Excel
• Versed in the use of engine information systems and tools preferably Cummins
• Strong planning, organization, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, altering priorities as required to meet established deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking in person and over the phone)
