Reports to Account Director/Vice President.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Account Management
Supports the Senior Account Manager/Director to help clients strengthen their brand identities and market presence;
Works with the account team to ensure high quality and responsive service to clients;
Writes and distributes a wide variety of PR materials, including press releases, media alerts, bylined articles, calendar listings and pitch letters;
Meets multiple schedule deadlines;
Does research for projects assigned by Senior Account Manager/Director;
Proofreads and edits documents prepared for the client as necessary;
Develops image and branding strategies with the Senior Account Manager/Director
Manages communications campaigns
Helps clients reach their target audiences to stand out from the competition
Recommends social media PR campaigns proactively and stays educated in all social media skills including traditional, online and social networking
Maintains a relationship with online and print publication editors to facilitate advantageous placement of articles and releases for agency clients
Initiates and facilitates media relations activities such as planning, pitching and press release development

3-5 years experience in a business-to-business PR agency, the ability to quickly grasp healthcare and technology messages, very detail oriented and a great communicator. Must be a self starter with high energy, have the ability to multi task and to meet the expectations of our clients. Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus.
Experience, Educati on and Licensure
A bachelor's degree in a PR related discipline and excellent written and organizational skills are a must.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write articles for publications that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
