Position is responsible for business development and account management of custom market research. Source clients, develop proposals, design research studies, and manage the execution of the projects sold. The financial goal is to sell 2MM+ in custom market research (any industry & any type of research) eventually building the base to 5-10MM.
1. Generate new business through working leads and networking. Help clients solve complex business problems through providing high quality customized marketing research.
2. Identify new business opportunities while continually cultivating and expanding existing relationships. Responsible for meeting monthly contact goals.
3. Develop proposals, design marketing research studies, and direct the execution of those studies. Provide senior level guidance to project team and assist in project management as well as data analysis, report writing and client delivery. Responsible for managing costs and quality of all projects sold.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
0 B.A./B.S or advanced degree preferred
0 5+ years Marketing or Marketing Research experience within a specialized industry or Research Supplier, plus 2+ years experience in sales or business development with a marketing research, advertising research, or consulting services organization.
0 Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals
0 Willingness to travel as necessary to meet goals
0 Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
0 Experience utilizing a structured sales methodology preferred (such as Target Account Selling, Strategic Selling, or Solution Selling)
0 Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, team player
0 Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment, and interface effectively with all levels of staff
