Rocket Fuel is looking for an Account Manager to work within our amazing Client Services organization. Account Managers are highly visible within Rocket Fuel, and are responsible for partnering with Sales, on managing Advertiser and Agency relationships across the campaign life cycle. Account Managers work closely with cross functional teams (Sales, Operations, Analytics, Solutions Marketing, Product Marketing, etc.) to ensure best in market customer service, overall campaign success, and high levels of customer happiness.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Manage multiple advertiser and agency accounts, developing positive working relationships with the media buyers, planners and operations teams.
Work closely with sales, solutions marketing and product, to support client proposal development.
Leverage technical tools and quantitative data ensure overall campaign success, uncover problems, and measure results.
Prepare campaign insights reporting, including analysis and research leveraging Rocket Fuel and/or 3rd party performance and delivery data.
Manage customer activity with CRM tools for maximum efficiency and visibility.
Manage weekly campaign status documents for internal review with sales, operations, analysts and executives.
Work with operations to assist with day-to-day operational processes including campaign set-up, receipt of creative or tags, trafficking, optimization and trouble-shooting.
Manage successful campaign deployments and ensure ongoing high client satisfaction and renewal.
Work closely with product and marketing teams to communicate root causes for customer success or failure, and drive requirements for product enhancement and development.
Follow (and provide input on) internal processes across the campaign life cycle.
Work closely with finance on billing set up and invoicing.
Skills & Attributes
Proven experience in interactive ad sales or account management.
High degree of organization, creativity, self-motivation, and drive.
Familiarity with commercial ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick DART, Atlas, etc.
Eagerness to work in a start-up team environment that will be rapidly changing.
Commitment to quality and accuracy – meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Passionate about online media.
4+ years in advertising sales or account management, preferably in online businesses.
Direct agency experience, either as a customer, partner or employee is a plus.
BS or BA required.
Advanced degree a plus.
