We are currently building an integrated marketing program with a strong email focus for our client. This marketing program is helping our client maintain valuable communications with their customers in helping them grow and expand their key product.

Position overview:
The Account manager is the primary point of contact with the client and will be working on-site at their corporate offices most days. You’ll be imbedded. You’ll get access to all their tools and information. You’ll help them build the program hand in hand.

In general, each account person will own a set of projects and help bring them to life through creation of the assignment brief. We also have strategy, creative and production leads but the account function is the continuity in all conversations. You need to provide for the team and organize them to make sure the output from each role is coordinated.

The ideal candidate:
Will be an energetic account professional who can think on their feet and is up for any type of challenge. Both agency and client side candidates will be considered but the ideal candidate will also have an understanding of the agency magic that will help us exceed expectations with the work we produce.

Will have a background in digital marketing; email and CRM programs included. You will be part of a large team so understanding the various components of the program and bringing them together in concert is something you will thrive on.

Will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You must write a polished and articulate deck. You must present well.

Works well at providing input to brilliant creatives and is comfortable talking tactical details with the production team as well.

Must also have good energy, be highly proactive, have tons of enthusiasm and a great sense of humor.

Is ideally a little hip and has an interesting life away from work. Your clients are hip and you need to be able to relate.

Loves advertising. Seriously, you have to love advertising to be good at this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
Managing projects from inception through to the production phase

Works with the project manager to create workable schedules and make sure edits are implemented consistently

Will be expected to train and get certification on the client’s key product.

Maintaining updated project documentation including status documents daily, meeting reports and project brief docs.

Demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness to meet project milestones, internal team needs and clients expectations

Communicating with internal and client teams effectively to ensure expectations are set and all deliverables met on schedule

Ensuring stringent quality control process for all deliverables

Construct clear, concise, error-free, communications (written and verbal) that provide details required for a specific audience (internal and client) including clear expectations/action requested, and relevant implications (i.e., timing, costs, etc.)

Essential Skills/Experience:
Account Manager will have 5-6 years working as an account person with some agency background roles.

All candidate must have excellent client facing skills including self presentation and clarity of verbal communication

Must have experience with digital marketing. Email marketing is a plus.

Ability to evaluate creative concepts and give market-relevant and client requested input to creative teams

Account Management experience with large clients

Critical thinking skills are a must. Multi-tasking and street smart qualities are essential. Linear problem solvers need not apply.

Must be proficient with Mac and all MSOffice applications (especially PowerPoint)

Knowledge of Google docs, Google Analytics and AdWords would be greatly beneficial to you in this role

Location/Benefits/Perks:
This position will primarily be on-site at our clients corporate headquarters in Mountain View, CA. The client runs an extensive shuttle service for employees in San Francisco and the peninsula that you will have access to.
