Under the direction of the Series Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for elevating the AMERICAN EXPERIENCE brand and leading the day-to-day activities of the marketing and promotion team. The Account Manager will work in close collaboration with the public relations team and the web production team to ensure strategic and integrated marketing campaigns are created and executed across multiple platforms.

Responsible for maintaining a working environment that leverages the potential and diversity of the department's entire staff. Provide direction and leadership in such a way as to nurture, create and maintain an environment that is (1) free from discrimination, intolerance and harassment and (2) provides employees with equal access to opportunities for growth and advancement including professional development whenever possible.

Skills Required

Candidates for this position should have solid experience in marketing, communications and brand building. An established aptitude for working with the national media and a keen understanding of social media are essential. Event planning and management is required. Interest in or experience with PBS programming and the entertainment industry is a plus.

Ideal applicants should possess strong strategic planning and analytical skills, solid writing and editing abilities and a creative approach to problem solving. Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and an extensive attention to detail are essential. Applicants must be comfortable with Macintosh applications.

Educational Requirements

College degree or higher.
