Yahoo! is looking for highly motivated Account Managers to join the number one online media organization in the world. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage, retain, grow and satisfy Yahoo’s most critical customer business relationships, as designated by the Manager of Account Management. Your external clients will be made up of Yahoo!’s top tier of display and search advertisers, both from a revenue and growth standpoint. Account Managers are responsible for building and maintaining deep partnerships with Yahoo! highest value search clients. The position involves up-selling existing advertisers, cross-selling new products and providing daily support to achieve team revenue goals. Clients are major brands and large sized businesses.

  • Develop a deep understanding and ability to analyze client ROI / CPA goals and data, media buying cycles, Web site architecture, product / service update schedules, marketing philosophy, target demographics, etc.
  • Understand how Yahoo! Search products will assist accounts in reaching their marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with partner teams on proposal development, presentations, selling into new business and assisting with up-selling existing clients.
  • Proactively create strategic recommendations and implement Search solutions for each client.
  • Expand relationships with regular face-to-face client visits to build and maintain deep-level partnerships.
  • Work with the internal Editorial team on keyword expands, improved titles and descriptions, additional Match Types and enhanced bidding strategy.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all internal systems to respond to general and specialized client requests; including billing inquiries, click activity inquiries, bidding requests, relevancy issues, etc.
  • Maintain and update proficiencies in the search marketing space
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned by the Manager of Account Management
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 3 years or more of digital marketing/media experience, preferably as an Account Manager in search marketing
  • A strong background working with clients face-to-face in an outside sales role
  • Outstanding computer skills including advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel) and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated experience effectively optimizing marketing campaigns by analyzing performance and recommending adjustments to key performance drivers
