The Account Service Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing business on the assigned agency list, training and mentoring Sales Planners and Sales Assistants in the company and acting as liaison for the Sales team in key areas of sales development, marketing and research.


-Supervising and training the Planners on new systems, processes and procedures

-Presenting new programming and marketing opportunities to existing advertisers and new business prospects

-Covering for an Account Executive who may be traveling for business or out on vacation

-Executing on all daily functions of an Account Executive who may be out on extended leave. (i.e. maternity leave)

-Working with Ad Sales and SSU to build targeted sales pitches

-Building and revising sales proposals by determining the most efficient and effective programming for a targeted client as well as the network

-Negotiate scatter deals to achieve the best outcome for Crown Media Networks

-Prospecting new business targets

-Overseeing the tracking of Nielsen Ratings to ensure clients delivery against guarantee and then building ADU/Recap packages for clients who are projected to underdeliver


-BachelorÂ’s degree (BA) in Business and/or Marketing or related area

-Minimum of three years Ad Sales experience as an Assistant and/or Planner

-Minimum one year Planner or two yearsÂ’ Buyer experience

-Prior PC experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook


-Must be team-oriented and have a collaborative work style with ability to building strong working relationships

-Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude

-Strong presentation skills

-Strong negotiation skills

-Strong organizational skills

-Must be a self-starter
