Job Description:
Core Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
a) Run the business
• Clearly communicate everyone’s role
• Keep account team/idea team members involved, informed and focused through constant collaboration
• Motivate team to win; for the client and GSD&M
• Accountable for the scheduling, flow and review of all agency work
• Lead client presentations
• Responsible for financial management (client projections, budgets and billing)
• Effectively keep Account Director aware of key developments
• Selling and defending the product (strategy, creative, pov’s, media plans, etc.)
• Proven developer of talent
• Orchestrate job performance evaluations of direct reports annually
• Effectively manages agency resources, the internal Account team and (along side the integration team members) manage the external partnership deliverables from a “General Contractor” perspective (when/where appropriate).
b) Client Relationship & Knowledge
• Effectively leads client
• Builds and maintains Client/external partnership relationships
• Able to effectively address Client issue/complaints
• Resident expert on client business:
- Client’s industry
- Client’s competition
- Keeper of key Research learning/findings
c) Strategic Acumen
• Fluid knowledge and practical experience with Uninvited Guest, Purpose-Based Branding and ALLI Plan.
• Prepare agency point-of-views and recommendations on strategic issues
• Has a thorough understanding of the philosophy and process of purpose based branding
• Actively looks for business and marketing opportunities that reinforce or reinvigorate the client’s purpose
d) Idea Team Supervisor
• Lead the internal Idea Team and external partner collaboration process when creating, selling executing and measuring the ideas that move our client’s business:
o Keeper/Evangelist of the Client’s current business and communication objectives
o Orchestrates the collaboration that focuses all internal Idea Team members and external partner representatives toward innovative ideas and eventual work that deliver ROI
o Dynamic presenter when selling the idea
o Idea Team expert that ensures the ROI model design accurately evaluates and continually improves the ideas that deliver on the Clients objectives
