Advertising Skills, Business Skills and Strategic Thinking

Organize everyday workflow/oversees day-to-day activities of AE and AAE

Establish priorities with direct supervisor and institutes a process for accomplishing client objectives

Initiate development of creative and media strategies

Oversee creative production process

Act as quality control for account output

Synthesize knowledge of Clients business their market, competitive activity and consumer to develop viable business strategies

Initiate next steps and drive projects to completion

Possesses strong time management and organizational skills/productivity

Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to resolve client issues

Work closely with supervisor and Client to shape marketing plan

Has ideas

Anticipates problems and devise effective solutions

In control of account finances


Supervise AE and AAE and work with account team, project management and creative to ensure that creative is released on time, on budget, on brief and on brand

Write briefs with Strategic Planning and lead briefing meetings

As knowledge and skills are built, take over managing larger projects

Communications Skills

Be a good listener

Demonstrate good client-handling (professional demeanor, ability to run productive meetings, etc.)

Show strong desire/success in selling Agency recommendations

Demonstrate strong business-writing skills

Demonstrate ability to develop effective Client presentations (both written and verbal) – and writing with other team members

Be clear, concise, articulate, focused, persuasive, responsive, confident

Client Relationships

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Client counterparts – earns the Clients trust

Demonstrate an understanding of Client business and a commitment to doing the right thing for the brand

Team/Agency Leadership Skills

Create a positive working environment for Agency departments and foster a team approach

Build strong relationships with Strategic Planning, Creative and Media

Keep management updated on key projects and solicit input

Look for opportunities to be involved in cross-team/agency initiatives

Oversee AE and AAE development

Train, manage, motivate, evaluate

Demonstrate a vested interest in the successful development of team members
