Specific Responsibilities
Gather marketing intelligence in order to determine business implications and strategies for client business and new products
Organize, craft and present lengthy presentations
Serve as liaison with clients, partner agencies, and client partners as needed to move projects forward (sometimes with limited information)
Client Relationship Building/Maintenance
Manage and lead the agency’s day-to-day relationship with key client contacts
Acquire an in-depth knowledge of, and be conversant in, each client’s industry/business – their key issues, competitive environment and industry trends
Display/demonstrate confidence and authority as the day-to-day voice of the agency team
Internal Team Management
Work with the Account Director to learn the agency business, best practices on managing and working with the internal team, agency process, and project management
Work with Strategic Planner and/or Account Director to create and deliver internal briefing documents to the team
Effectively assign, delegate, coordinate and monitor the work of agency staff members assigned to client projects
Manage the financial health of the business – including generating reports, partnering with HR to manage staffing and utilization, as well as partnering with Finance to ensure compliance with client’s procedures
Manage relationships with outside vendors on an as-needed basis
Mentor, train, and manage direct reports in learning, and complying with, agency process
Effectively present the agency’s decisions, recommendations and creative product to a range of client audiences
Provide clear, concisely written documents for internal use as well as client meetings
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Advertising
5-7 years account management experience
Prior supervisory experience
Preferred experience working in/with a pan-agency team
Skills/Competencies Required
Flexibility and resourcefulness to adapt to changing direction
Exposure to working in digital platforms such as email, mobile (limited part of role)
Strong presentation skills – organizational and writing
Strong project management skills: ability to organize workload and workflow of large, complex programs as well as the ability to successfully focus the efforts of agency personnel so that projects are completed as proposed – on time and within budget
Thorough knowledge of print and video production techniques to enable partnership with agency production staff to lead production process and achieve client objectives
Diplomacy: ability to question and challenge when appropriate, ability to work with external organizations to accomplish goals amidst competing agendas
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills: ability to up-sell Trisect services to meet client’s needs while growing business for the agency; resourceful and proactive in meeting client requests
Attention to detail
Ability to use consumer insights to provide inspiration to creative and media
Team player mentality: willingness to raise a hand and pitch in where needed; ability to work with a wide range of people
