The IT Function Planning team is chartered to manage integrated planning processes that drives differentiated business performance through IT, ensure a 3-5 year technology investment roadmaps and portfolio prioritization across assets, make visible execution against the business plan and related business impacts. The group strives to improve our planning maturity in asset planning, portfolio prioritization planning, business planning, cost recovery planning and management of the greater than $2 billion of annual IT spend across the IT Function.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Accountability and Performance Management System Process (MSP) including strategy metrics and key performance indicators (KPI).
Guide the implementation of accountability and performance systems for the IT function guided by the principles of the Innovation Value Institute's Capability Maturity Framework.
Understand information technology's strategic vectors and intended business impacts.
Identify, develop and track predictive measures that demonstrate we are tracking toward the intended business impact of the strategic vectors.
Implement the OE MSP to drive progress toward world class performance in accountability and performance management in alignment with the IT Operating Model and the IT Management Asset Benchmarking strategy, approach, project management, vendor and peer relationships.
Chevron representative on the IT Oil and Gas Benchmark Group (OGBG) which is an industry self-managed peer group sponsored by the CIOs from 10 major oil and gas integrated companies. In 2014, Chevron will be the Chair of this organization.
Guides the overall framework for benchmarking and obtains functional approval for implementation.
Develops approaches to implement the framework and leads the subsequent projects.
Develops and guides vendor relationships to ensure benchmark activity provides the insight Chevron needs to differentiate performance.
Works with peer companies to sustain the relationships needed to provide oil industry comparisons.
Understands and guides all IT function benchmarking proposals to ensure benchmark work is aligned with asset plan needs.
IT Function value management, metrics and recognition process.
Manages a monthly IT Function Scorecard for review with CIO Leadership Team.
Manages the IT Function value realization process to ensure credibility of benefit reporting.
BS Degree in IT Systems or a related engineering discipline
At least 15 years of progressive experience related to the requirements of the position
At least 1 year leading complex projects that span several business units
