Job Description:

Accounts payable and tax functions; maintain fixed asset/depreciation software and make

appropriate journal entries; prepare equipment section of the board report; keep logs and issue

requisitions for Professional & General Liability funds; Coordinate the scanning of invoices for

FGH and FPI. Compile cost accounting statistics; Prepare journal entries for monthly A/P



RELATIONSHIPS/INTERACTION: Department Heads; Supervisors, Materials Management, Senior Accountant, Patient Accounting, Payroll, and Employees outside of the Accounting Department.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree required (but Bachelor’s degree is desirable) or five-years of book-keeping or business office experience. Knowledge of computer software packages (i.e., spreadsheet, word processing, and other analytical packages); basic knowledge of principles of accounting.

  • Complies with all policies, procedures, and related protocols as established by the department and/or the organization.
  • Process accounts payable checks on a weekly basis or more often as needed.
  • Perform functions required to get invoices processed and vendors paid in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Utilizes Galactica software to electronically scan all invoices.
  • Assist Controller with cash disbursement management
  • Prepare internal and external reports that originate from the accounts payable subsystem (to include use tax and 1099’s).
  • Other projects as assigned.
