STAFF ACCOUNTANT

POSITION OVERVIEW

Indiegogo’s Accountant will be a key member of the Accounting and Finance team, performing core accounting work, including reconciliations, data entry, accounts payable and assisting the Senior Accountant and Controller with a variety of statutory and management reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
Prepare month end reconciliations;

Assist in monthly close process including journal entries;

Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting;

Assist in year-end audit and tax preparation;

Research technical accounting guidance and issues;

Accounts payable processing, including expense report and credit card reviews and processing;

Maintain the W8/W9 files and prepare 1099/10996 fillings;

Assist with special projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred;

2-4 years of accounting experience; hands-on experience in a similar size company preferred;

Strong Excel skills;

Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and the mechanics of corporate accounting;

Experience evaluating, selecting and implementing small to mid-tier enterprise-level accounting software systems;

Demonstrated ability to recognize and resolve challenges;

An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a demanding, fast-paced, cross-functional work environment with changing priorities and deadlines;

Strong analytic and organizational skills; excellent attention to detail;

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written);

Ability to collaborate with peers, members of management and cross functional teams.
