This position is responsible for providing full support to the accounting cycle of all companies and p reparing accurate monthly financial reports. Responsibilities include but no limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable/accruals and cash management activities, bank reconciliations, compliance matters, any other general accounting transactions. Reconciles and validates organization’s general ledger accounts (account analysis). Reviews reports for inconsistencies and inaccuracies. Assist during any regulatory, internal or external audits.


1. Analyzes general ledger account balances
2. Prepares monthly cash flow projections and bank reconciliations
3. Completes routine accounting assignments
4. Ensures compliance with: local tax, audit requirements, regulators (i.e. CMS and Commissioner of Insurance), internal controls and policies and procedures
5. Reviews and analyzes financial statement accounts for accuracy, budget variance and unusual trends
6. Accounts receivable functions: premium billing, cash collections, refunds, allowance for bad debt analysis, maintenance of accounts receivable aging
7. Assists in annual budget process
8. Maintains fixed asset accounts and subsidiary ledger
9. Ensures that comprehensive accounting records are maintained in an organized manner
10. Advises management of reasons for any unusual trends, budget variances, difficulties obtaining information or other pending issues
11. Continuously assesses internal systems and recommends changes that would allow greater efficiency in monthly processing
12. Maintains and reconciles general ledger account balances
13. Prepares analysis schedules
14. Assists with month-end close processes
15. Prepares monthly reports reflecting spending versus budget
16. Prepares and edits journal entries


· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting
· One to three years of relevant experience
