Accountant is responsible for company-wide accounting activities for both
capital projects and general accounting.
The Accountant works daily with financial employees at all company
locations.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All

Ensure

Reporting
on overall capital project activity
·
Reporting
on overall fixed assets and depreciation activity
·
Execution
of weekly/monthly financial closing processes
·
Analyze
general ledger activity
·
Fulfill
operational and management data requests
·
Prepare
journal entries and general accounting duties as needed
This
position is primarily in an office environment with the majority of the time
spent sitting. Some travel may be
required. Occasional lifting of office
materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds is required.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
·
Must
be able to demonstrate a good safety record
·
Must
possess strong interpersonal communication skills
·
Must
have a four-year accounting or similar degree and previous accounting
experience
·
Must
have excellent analytical and computer skills
·
Must
have ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude
·
Experience
with SAP, Power Plant, Excel and Word are preferred
·
Knowledge
of FERC-based accounting is desired
·
Must
be able to work effectively in an individual contributor or team environment
