Job Description:
Job Description: Responsible for business unit strategy
development, long range planning and capital project
approval process. Analyze monthly accounting activity
for accuracy and participate in the managerial reporting
process. Also responsible for all payroll, accounts
payable and asset accounting activities including the
supervision of certified accounts payable managers.
Coordinate internal and external audits while
supervising accounting staff to ensure compliance with
company SOX, Tax and accounting policies. Supervise
accounts payable activities to ensure compliance with
commercial procurement terms and my client’s accounts
payable policy. Provide direction, leadership, oversight
and control of financial activities and processes for
Nuclear Generation including long range strategic
planning, financial planning and analysis, budgeting,
accounting and auditing. Ensure full compliance with all
applicable financial rules and regulations (both
external and internal) including the review, audit and
approval of Nuclear Generation and my client’s financial
statements including Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Participate in and support of rate filings, proceedings,
and hearings in the jurisdictions of the state.
Establish, administer, monitor and update long range
business and strategic plans and incorporate into my
client’s strategic planning processes including
integrated resource plans, corporate sustainability
processes, Corporate Planning and Budgeting financial
forecasting processes, generation resource planning, and
commercial operations. Develop, update, monitor, and
audit the annual incentive compensation program for
Nuclear Generation. Supervise staff to record between
$150 to $250 million in accruals each month in
coordination with project management, Accounts Payable,
Operating Companies and Corporate Planning Budgeting.
Oversee implementation of business continuity planning
program including disaster mitigation, recovery, and
contingency action planning. Supervise staff in
developing, organizing, and setting-up the accounting
for new projects. Supervise processes for accurate
in-service reporting and for orderly close-out of major
capital projects. Supervise the overall management of
the Nuclear Decommissioning fund with total fund
balances of over $1B. Responsibility also includes
attending quarterly fund oversight meetings and
development and submittal of biannual Nuclear Regulatory
Commission fund certification letter. Supervise
activities associated with my client’s payroll for all
Nuclear Generation Employees including the oversight of
payroll software required to process nuclear payrolls to
ensure compliance with federal laws related to fatigue
management (NRC 10CFR Part 26). Supervise the overall
management of spent nuclear fuel accounting activities
including amortization of costs and fees associated with
spent nuclear fuel. Supervise activities associated with
oversight of the Department of Energy Nuclear Waste Fund
including quarterly submittals of contributions to the
fund ensuring accuracy and timeliness of contributions
in accordance with all federal rules and regulations.
Coordinate and perform special projects and analyses to
support senior management and business unit operations.
Ensure that software used by Nuclear Generation complies
with my client’s financial reporting policies. Perform
other key roles and responsibilities as defined in
document INPO 04-003 Guidelines for Effective Nuclear
Supervisor Performance. Perform all duties, and work
with other employees in a safe manner, in compliance
with appropriate company safety policies and rules.
Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in
Accounting, Finance or Economics, or related field or
equivalent education or experience; Masters degree or

Certified Public Accountant is desirable. Experience:
Ten (10) years experience managing business services
functions including four (4) years in supervision.
Other: External candidates may substitute ten (10) years
experience and training at another nuclear plant or
corporate office; FERC Uniform System of Accounts,
Sarbanes Oxley, auditing, accounting or finance
activities. (10) years experience in a business
environment conducting strategic planning, financial
cost analysis and / or long-range planning, of which
four (4) years must be in supervision.
