A healthcare provider and leader in the industry is seeking to add a dynamic Accountant to their team. This candidate will provide General Ledger accounting support and service to the Company and customers through journal processing, data verification, account reconciliation, and issue resolution

Responsibilities:
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service and support to all business units and other internal customers
  • Perform monthly various General Ledger balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Participate in month-end close process by reviewing and monitoring journal entry processing, updating summary ledgers, processing inter-company transactions, and assisting business units with closing issues and tasks as necessary
  • Provide support with journal entries, month-end, year-end, tax and other adjustments to the general ledger
  • Perform analytical review on selected General Ledger accounts and research unexpected or unusual results
  • Use judgment to select proper accounting treatment of new issues, and create journal entries to record to the General Ledger
  • Respond to questions from business units regarding general accounting and/or PeopleSoft system matters and investigate and resolve GL accounting inconsistencies
  • Run daily quality assurance queries to ensure accuracy of data from external sources and sub- ledgers
  • Assist with documenting and maintaining department procedures
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years general accounting experience
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Demonstrate analytical, methodical and resourceful approach in problem solving work atmosphere
  • Strong understanding of general accounting concepts and procedures
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, necessary to articulate ideas and prepare analyses
  • Good interpersonal skills, necessary to build and maintain relationships and interact well across all levels
  • Ability to prioritize and ensure completion of critical tasks
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, circumstances, and personal interaction styles
