Accounting Analyst

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performs assigned duties under direction of experienced personnel to gain knowledge and experience in preparation for potential additional opportunities within the Financial Services Division

Receives training and performs duties in Financial Reporting to become familiar with division functions, operations, and company policies and practices affecting each phase of business; observes experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties

Learns the SAP system components, coding schemes (company, account, cost center, cost element, internal order, asset class, etc.) and hierarchies (account to expense class, cost center to budget center to division, etc.); learns the Aflac organization, identifies contacts for various issues, and participates in continuing professional education and development classes


Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 0-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Interest in pursuing CPA certification is preferred

Job Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office suite software
