Strategy and Operational Support Intern
Internship position for the ISV & Developer Relations (IDR) Strategy and Operations functions assists with the effective planning, execution, and reporting of financial and program execution activities associated with headquarter and worldwide IDR teams.
This role supports the business mission of the line organization. The work focus of this area includes using existing IBM processes, systems and tools to effectively enable the business mission. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to, resource management, financial performance, and program performance reporting. Strategy and Operational Support Interns drive the day-to-day and periodic operational processes of the business and ensure that accurate and effective measurement, reporting and analysis are provided to the business leadership. Strategy and Operational Support Interns also focus on introducing process improvements, understanding business control requirements to ensure compliance, managing multiple stakeholder relationships, and applying knowledge of business and financial tools to improve business performance.
Primary job responsibilities are as follows:
Working with IDR leadership to identify and report on financial performance of the headquarter and worldwide teams
Partnering with the Finance and IDR Operations teams to identify opportunities to meet or exceed financial performance expectations
Coordinate with IDR leadership to provide insights and reporting on the performance of key IDR programs
Providing quality and timely delivery of results for other duties assigned
Ability to absorb professional knowledge quickly and develop skills.
Ability to work with higher-level professionals, learning from them and assisting them in carrying out assigned activities.
Ability to recognizes job-related problems relative to assignments when they arise, and resolve them in line with guidance from management or with exiting guidelines and procedures.
Clear written and verbal professional communication skills
Strong relevant experience or course work in Accounting, Finance or Business
Strong familiarity with multiple products in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Powerpoint
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic knowledge in Strong relevant experience or course work in Accounting, Finance or Business
- English: Fluent
