The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of accounting work papers, reports, and journal entries as well as processing payroll for all Western District employees and physicians. This position is also responsible for updating and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers.
Education: (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic.) A minimum of a two year associate degree (or equivalent progress towards a bachelor’s degree) in accounting required.
Experience: A minimum of one year in accounting or related field required.
Exclusion from Federal Programs: Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Clinic’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program.
