Job Description

Position Summary

The primary function of the Accounting Associate is to handle client accounting activities using Quickbooks. Requires attention to detail, experience in regular accounting processes, and to be

able to communicate effectively and efficiently. This is a part time role with opportunity to have more responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enter banking transactions and reconcile. Assist in preparing state business tax filings. Assist in preparing Federal Income Tax Returns. Occasional support in the human resource function to verify personnel file maintenance, medicalinsurance matters, 401k plan and other benefits issues. Assist in client set-up of Corporation, LLC, or Partnership accounts with the State. Assist with Business Development of new clients.

hours and weekends when necessary. Unlikely, but must be willing to do limited overnight travel if

necessary.

Is able to learn and work in a variety of internet web-based application programs and financial

computer database programs, including inputting data and running reports.

Is able to learn and run a variety of office equipment, including fax and copy machine.

Effectively organizes own work and completes on timely basis. Acts dependably to get things done

right the first time. Considers positive and negative consequences before acting. Demonstrates a

sense of urgency and takes initiative when necessary.

Behaves in accordance with the Companys goals and its employee and operational policies and

procedures.

Education and/or Experience

A four year degree in Accounting (REQUIRED)

CPA (Preferred) Minimum 3 to 5+ years accounting experience.

Experience with a variety of computer programs to include Microsoft Office and Quickbooks.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational/time management skills, and

ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Language Skills

Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to interact

tactfully and positively with Company staff and management. Ability to maintain a high level of

confidentiality. Ability to speak effectively to clients or Company employees.
Mathematical Skills

Able to calculate figures and amounts and add, subtract, multiply, and divide with whole numbers,

fractions, decimals, and percents; calculate averages, ratios, proportions and rates; convert decimals to

fractions; convert fractions to percents.
