This is an Accounts Payable position. This position reports to the Manager of Finance and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services.
Using the Lawson system, prepares checks to pay vendors and others, obtaining the necessary approvals for their disbursement.
Works with company managers to review invoices and statements making appropriate adjustments.
Keeps electronic and paper files according to policy.
Preforms monthly analysis and reconciliations.
Assist in month end closing projects.
Models appropriate behaviors, mentors students where necessary and monitors both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
Works as cashier at the Finance Department window as required.
Other duties as required.
Accounting and business skills.
Good oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment and pay close attention to detail.
Must be able to operate a computer, calculator, copier and telephone.
Knowledge of Excel a plus.
Confidentiality a must.
Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
High school diploma or equivalent and two years related experience in accounting and business skills required. Good oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment and pay close attention to detail. Must be able to operate a computer, calculator, copier and telephone. Knowledge of Excel a plus. Confidentiality a must. Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
