We are searching for the right person to add to our Transportation Accounting team! Fun, fast paced Call Center environment located in Mesa, Arizona.

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services in processing and maintaining the company’s accounts payable records. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner ensures that vendors and suppliers are paid within established payments terms. This position serves an important role as part of the Transportation Team. You will have interaction with the other teams in Transport, as well as outside vendors and customers. As part of CarsArrive’s team you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your accounting insight and talent.

Key Responsibilities

Detailed and accurate tracking/processing of invoices for payment.

Review of incoming invoices and documents for accuracy and required information.

Print and obtain signatures on checks (weekly check runs).

Distribute signed checks as required.

Filing and copying of invoices and checks.

Vendor set-up & maintenance.

Vendor/Customer communication resolving discrepancies & errors. (phone and e mail)

Obtain vendor statements and reconcile to A/P aging.

Customer billing daily, sending customer statements monthly.

Collections calls, follow up with customers on past due invoices.

Manage customer accounts. Work with appropriate teams to manage funds application, follow through with short/over payments.

Special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent verbal & written communication and listening skills (internal & external customers).

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively with other associates.

Proactive disposition with strong follow through skills.

Ability to work independently to accomplish goals.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include hours other than 8AM-5PM, including overtime, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

Technical Skills

SAP experience.

Proficient computer skills (Web based systems, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Typing and data entry skills and ability to use a 10-key calculator accurately by touch.

Education and Experience

2-4 years of accounts payable/accounting experience.
