Performs accounting activities such as, maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports, and other duties as assigned or required.
Performs any combination of following: calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts, using calculator or computer. Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items. May type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, using computer. Reconciles GL accounts. Organize, file & maintain all A/P and/or AR related documents as well as other financially related documents and correspondence. Relies on limited experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area or equivalent years of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
