Temporary internship opportunity supporting Corporate Finance and the business units in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts, analyzing impact of new accounting standards, integrating acquisitions, and assisting in the administration of corporate-wide finance policy and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in internal control initiatives which may include:
Analysis of disbursement data for control compliance, recovery and fraud indicators.
Participate on supplier audit team.
Project management of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts.
Review design and operating effectiveness of process documentation.
Conduct internal control reviews and internal Sarbanes-Oxley testing at business unit locations.
Recommendations for process improvement.
Performance of other duties as assigned.
Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Two years of education toward bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Aspiration toward future CPA, CIA, CMA certification.
Familiarity with U.S. GAAP experience.
Completion of Audit class(es) and familiarity with control assertions (Completeness, Existence, Rights/Obligations, Valuation, Presentation & Disclosure
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
