Summary: Manages GL processing, monthly close, and preparation of internal monthly management reporting package; interfaces with external audit team, supports preparation of external reporting and SOX internal controls, and responsible for supervision of GL staff.

• Manages the month- and quarter-end close process
• Manages and supervises work of the GL team
• Day-to-day support of AP, AR, GL and payroll functions
• Performs monthly allocation journal entries
• Reviews and posts journal entries for end-of-month GL process
• Prepares and analyzes monthly outsourcing accrual
• Prepares monthly management reporting package
• Ensures the accuracy and appropriateness of GL transactions and account reconciliations
• Reviews all account reconciliations and prepares monthly binder
• Maintains GL chart of accounts and project accounting
• Maintains Host Analytics reporting package
• Interfaces with external audit team for quarterly reviews, annual audit including overseeing timely submission of PBC items
• Compiles supporting schedules and tie-out documentation of 10-Q and 10-K filings
• Ensures compliance to Company’s accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley
• Provides on-going and ad hoc analysis, reports and special projects as needed
• Ensures timely and accurate submission of debt compliance certificates
• Actively participates in creating documentation for the department’s procedures

• BS in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years of experience in general ledger and general accounting
• Solid understanding and application of accounting principles
• Experience managing escheat and sales & use tax filings
• 3 years of direct supervisory experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to effectively manage indirect reporting relationships
• Demonstrates initiative and has a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Effectively communicates with management and employees inside and outside of department and maintains a high level of accessibility to support co-workers in day to day operations
• Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers, including all levels within the company
• Excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities and react quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Public accounting and active CPA preferred
• Occasional travel may be required for conferences or training
