Position

As AtHoc is undergoing significant growth, we seek an Accounting Manager to help lay the foundation for the next phase of the company’s evolution, while supporting its ongoing needs. The Accounting Manager is a new position charged with creating and implementing new processes and systems to enable scaling up volume and complexity as we expand new product lines and internationally. This is a formative and exciting time at AtHoc, as we evolve into a strong and maturing growth company that demands increased visibility, controls, and accountability. This is a hands-on and impactful role, where your technical expertise and business acumen will complement and enhance a seasoned team of professionals. Reporting to the VP, Finance & Administration, you will have broad scope and exposure across the company.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the following:
Monthly/Quarterly Financial Close process and cycle improvement

Revenue Recognition policy enhancements and execution

Financial controls (“SOX-lite”)

Manage annual audit and ongoing relationship with external audit firm

Multi-entity consolidation (domestic & preparing for foreign)

Accounting lead for the selection and implementation of new ERP/Accounting system (2nd half 2013)

Prepare for managing foreign entity accounting relationships

Lead or assist in due diligence reviews

Coach/mentor accounting personnel

Manage tax strategy

Equity accounting

Requirements

Comprehensive and well-rounded technical accounting skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Strong interpersonal skills

Experience encompassing both large, public companies and smaller start-ups in high-tech industries

Assertive in the face of opposing perspectives

Impeccable integrity and confidentiality

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft environment

Experience with ERP system implementation highly desired

U.S. citizen

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field plus CPA

Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting experience

At least 2 years of audit firm (Big 4) experience highly desired
