We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our Accounting Department in our Sunnyvale, CA location.
Under limited supervision, manages a staff of three, performs complex accounting duties requiring advanced professional experience, knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices. Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions, specifically but not limited to Cost/Inventory Accounting, Revenue Accounting and Consolidations.
Staff
Manages a staff of three accountants.
Provides work leadership and guidance to direct reports, review their progress and work for adequacy, method and procedure.
Provides performance feedback to staff on a regular basis and complete annual reviews.
Inventory
Prepares analytical review of all inventory reserves and accounts and presents to Mgmt quarterly/monthly.
Reviews account reconciliations for accuracy and analyzes specific general ledger and cost accounts.
Provides interpretation of accounts, methods and records.
Primary interface with operational teams.
Revenue
Reviews customer contracts for revenue recognition implications and assist with structuring non-standard transaction details.
Reviews account reconciliations for accuracy and analyze specific general ledger and revenue accounts.
Consolidations
Learn all aspects of consolidations.
Assist in monthly financial reporting to FJ Limited.
Manage monthly close process for those activities listed above to ensure accounting accuracy, no financial exposure and completion of all tasks timely as per close schedule.
Assist other accounting team members on complex assignments, projects and tasks as required; may review work for adequacy, method and procedure.
Develops and implements cost, inventory and revenue recognition policies, procedures and controls in conformance with current IFRS guidance, IB policy, GFP Policy, FAI standards and JSox.
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting systems and special projects.Designs operational procedures and processes that meet external audit standards and improve efficiency.
Financial accountability
This position is responsible for ensuring revenue recognition, cost and inventory accounting and financial reporting to FJ Limited is in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GFP (Group Financial Policy) and IB Policy.
KPMG audits; ensure all documentation is provided accurately with no financial exposures.
Qualifications
In dept knowledge of International Reporting Standards (IFRS) & the application to a Product and service company.
Manage a staff of three accountants.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong accounting and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team player.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Oracle.
4 Year college degree.
CPA preferred
4+ Years of Accounting & technical experience specifically related to HW, SW and service revenue recognition.
