The Accounting Manager plans and directs all daily activities of accounts payable, expense reimbursement, account receivable, payroll, reconciliations, month end close/financial reporting, and special financial projects by performing the duties, personally and in coordination with the Accounting Department members. In addition, Accounting Manager is expected supervise, teach, and review all subordinates work. This is an internal facing position.

Accounting Manager must establish and maintain effective working relationships with new and existing employees and internal and external clients through a high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal/ communication skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and directs all daily activities of accounts payable, expense reimbursement, account receivable, payroll, reconciliations, month end close/financial reporting, and special financial projects by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinates.
  • Supervises and participates in the month end and year end close process including preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  • Take lead on creating, implementing and maintaining various financial management policies and procedures.
  • Manage the appropriate completion of all Use Tax, Property Tax and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Highly involved in the overall management and review of US firm wide cash management policies and procedures
  • Prepares, reviews and submits payroll bi-monthly regular payroll and special payroll entries
  • Coordinates and prepares the budgetary reports for HR, IT, and Marketing to ensure monthly summary and quarterly detail reports meet department planning needs.
  • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.

  • Assists in the preparation of the US office locations annual budgets, and ensures adequate and accurate monthly reporting of budget to actual expenditures by office.
  • Is responsible for the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, and operating expenses. Including supervision and participation in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
  • Directs and participates in cost analyses and other financial analysis projects as requested.
  • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues
  • Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Reviews financial statements with executive management personnel prior to providing to RGL’s Partners.
  • Provides detailed financial information to RGL’s Partners as requested.
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, and other related procedures and controls

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or Related Field
  • Possess a valid CPA license
  • 3-5 years of successful total experience in Accounting (including 2 years experience as a Senior Accountant, 2-3 years in Public Accounting preferred)
  • Possesses strong technical skills in MS Office software . Maconomy experience highly preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
  • Demonstrates significant professional oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of computer programs required to perform job
  • Demonstrates solid computer, work file and work paper organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including communicating in person, by e-mail and by telephone
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including occasionally working evenings, weekends and holidays, as necessary to meet the needs of RGL and its clients.

COMPENSATION
