The Accounting Manager will have responsibility for all day to day accounting and finance functions of the company including accounting, treasury, procurement and financial processes. The successful candidate must function well in fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking; able to prioritize with excellent follow-through and possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Supervise accounting staff.
Will require hands on task performance in the accounting function.
Prepare financial statements and provide analytical review/input to monthly management report.
Basic understanding of payroll and commissions payable
Work with staff to ensure a smooth annual audit and manage that process with the outside audit firm.
Identify, implement and document good accounting and operational practices.
Treasury / Cash Forecasting
Manage revolving credit facility relationship day to day basis – draws/repayments.
Manage weekly cash forecasting to ensure adequate availability in the near term.
Work with CFO on long range planning.
Procurement / Budget Management
Ensure that significant purchases are supported by budget and that they are made using appropriate best practices.
Perform routine budget reviews of departments with managers.
Assist in formulation of the annual operating budget.
Monthly variance reporting.
Basic understanding of contracting language.
Accounting degree plus 8-10 years of experience or 15 years of experience in an increasing corporate accounting role.
Responsibility for managing the year end audit process.
Software revenue recognition experience. (SOP 97-2)
Experience working with equity backed or early stage, rapidly growing environment.
