POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager is a high level position responsible for managing, training and development of the staff, including measurement of staff performance, writing and delivering staff performance reviews, and conducting interviews for potential new hires. Additionally, the Manager is to ensure adherence to department and company policies, meeting deliverables deadlines and handling miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned by Management.

The Program Revenue & Disbursements group within the Accounting department is responsible for managing the Accounting for various key Corporate Revenue & Disbursement marketing programs in conjunction with the Strategic Marketing Department to communicate program performance, communicate with our external Partners, and Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare or direct preparation of Accounting for strategic Marketing Partner Program reporting, business activity reports for Partner Programs, Program analysis and Partner performance reporting.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Operations team and external Partners to provide recommendations for Program development and oversee the systems project development working in conjunction with our internal IT department to guide and project manage related systems reporting improvements and effectiveness.
• Drive the planning and execution for the accounting for our strategic partner program process in collaboration with the business unit and company leadership, and manages distributions of Program payments
• Perform ad hoc financial and partner program analysis as required
• Prepare insightful reporting of strategic Marketing Partner Program financial and operating results for senior leadership on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Analysis of financial data to oversee the reconciliation of Partner financial reports and accounts to the general ledger
• Direct contact and communication with the Partners on complicated program issues
• Recruit, train, and develop staff.
• Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & LICENSES:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA a plus
• Ability to manage, direct and motivate supporting accounting staff
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills with customer service focus
• Effective multi-tasking skills and works well under pressure
• Team player that is goal oriented striving for improvement and advancement
• Capable of effectively operating in a high-pressure, high-volume environment
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule with overtime

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA a plus
• 5+ years or more of Accounting, Reporting and General Ledger experience
• Big 4 Accounting experience and background a plus

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:
• Great Plains accounting software a plus
• Proficient Internet PC skills and with Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel)
• Oracle’s Daybreak Servicing Software experience a plus

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and direct Accounting group with 3 plus direct reports and other indirect reports

• Ability to manage and maintain confidential data on an as needed basis
