Under general supervision of the Executive Director (or designee), provides the Valley Performing Arts Center (VPAC) with administrative and technical support for budget and fiscal accounting of VPAC transactions and funds. Works closely with the VPAC Administrative Analyst and assists in supporting such actions as billing external clients for leasing activities, tracking payments, handling deposits, and acting as a financial back up to create separation of duties. Assists with data input of payroll information for 75+ employees; works to document financial transactions and help implement good fiscal practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
Equivalent to two years of full-time, progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience that has provided the knowledge and abilities listed below. Successful completion of a CSU campus training program in financial record keeping may be substituted for the required experience listed above OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: General knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practices; arithmetic; general office procedures; and governmental financial record-keeping methods. Ability and specialized skills to: review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standards; compute and post figures rapidly and accurately; maintain files and records; identify, trace, and correct errors; follow directions; interpret and apply written rules and regulations; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; operate standard office machines, calculator, adding machine, date stamp, typewriter, and/or word processor; use personal computers and/or automated accounting systems; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Anticipated hiring range: $2674 - $3000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
THE SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST PASS A FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE (LIVESCAN).
The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
