Responsible for general ledger coding and data entry of invoices, vendor reconciliations, payments of goods and services, and other various duties relating to accounting.

Process invoices into computer accounting system, ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received.

Provide excellent vendor support by answering vendor calls on a daily basis and assist in reconciliation of accounts payable accounts.

Receive invoices from stores on a weekly basis and open postal mail on a daily basis.

Perform necessary filing and copying.

Maintain Complete and Accurate Accounts Payable Vendor Files including all current required documents.

Maintain active Certificates of Liability Insurance for all Accounts Payable Vendor Files.

Communicate with co-workers, managements, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.

Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Required Skills HS Diploma Required

Associate Degree Preferred

Required Experience 2 years successful history of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume processing environment.

Computer Software Experience Requirements:

Required: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Outlook

Preferred: Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Accounting Software, Crystal Reports

General knowledge of accounting procedures and principles – able to understand how the AP invoices related to the general ledger accounts and accounting fiscal periods.

Problem Solving – able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully.

Planning/Organizing – able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently

Quality Control – able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitor own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance

Quantity – able to meet productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner

Adaptability – able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

Dependability – able to consistently be at work on-time, follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance. Also have demonstrated the ability to work under limited supervision, and be self-motivated with strong work ethics with a willingness to learn.

Position is contingent upon successful criminal and financial background testing.
